New Orleans Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) pie shell, unbaked
    1 c. pecans, halves or chopped
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 c. Karo syrup, light or dark
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat eggs.
    Add butter, sugar, syrup and salt; mix well.
    Add pecans and vanilla; blend.
    Pour into pie shell and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 35 minutes or until a silver knife comes out clean when inserted in center of filling.
