Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter (no margarine)
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 to 1 1/2 big Hershey chocolate bars
1/2 to 1 c. chopped walnuts

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cream butter, sugar, yolk and vanilla; stir in flour and salt until blended.
Pack into rectangular 9 x 13-inch greased baking sheet.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned.
Remove; immediately apply crumbled chocolate bar.
