Banana-Nut Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture alternately with banana, blending well after each addition.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into well-greased 9 1/2 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes or until done. Remove from pan. Cool on rack.
Suitable for freezing.
Makes 8 servings.
