Banana Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas (2 or 3)
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch loaf pan.
    Mix together thoroughly sugar, shortening and eggs.
    Stir in buttermilk, mashed bananas and flour, then stir in soda and nuts. Pour batter in greased pan.
    Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes.
