Ginger Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    12 Tbsp. unsalted butter (at room temperature)
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1/3 c. molasses
    granulated sugar for rolling
Preparation
    Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
    With an electric mixer set at medium low speed, beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Beat in egg and molasses.
    Reduce speed to low and gradually beat in flour mixture until just incorporated.
    Chill until firm, about 1 hour.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Shape into 1-inch balls.
    Roll in sugar and place about 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake until edges just start to brown, about 15 minutes.
    Cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes before removing to racks. Cool completely.
    Makes 6 dozen.
