Shoo-Fly Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 c. table syrup
    3/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 egg
    3/4 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix
    butter, brown sugar and flour to make
    the
    crumbs for the topping.
    Mix table syrup, egg, baking soda in boiling water. Pour into unbaked pie shell.
    Sprinkle crumbs
    on top. Start baking at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat
    to 300\u00b0 and bake 30 minutes more.
