Sausage With Sawmill Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. country sausage (such as Jimmy Dean)
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Brown and drain sausage, reserving 2 tablespoons of drippings in the pan.
    Blend in flour to make a roux.
    Add milk and blend until smooth.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 2 minutes.
    Serve over hot, open-faced biscuits.
