Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head cabbage, sliced coarse
    1 large onion
    1 green pepper
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. vegetable oil
    1 tsp. celery
    1 tsp. dry mustard seed
Preparation
    Alternate cabbage, onion and green pepper in layers in a bowl with tight fitting lid.
    Cover top of ingredients with 1 cup sugar, 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sugar, salt and vinegar.
    Mix together vegetable oil, celery seed and dry mustard seed.
    Stir and bring to a boil.
    Pour over cabbage immediately.
    Cover with lid and let set, usually about 4 hours or overnight.
    Keeps for weeks in the refrigerator.
