Norwegian Christmas Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    4 c. sifted flour
    4 rounded tsp. baking powder
    2 c. raisins, chopped
    1/2 small container mixed fruit (1/2 pineapple; 1/2 cherry)
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. cardamon
    1 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs.
    Sift cardamon, flour and baking powder together (save out a small amount to mix with raisins and fruit).
    Add to mixture, alternating the flour and milk.
    Mix raisins and fruits with flour; add to total mixture. Put into 1 large loaf pan or divide between 2 small loaf pans. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
