Eggplant Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 eggplant (medium-sized)
    1/4 onion, chopped
    1 can (1 1/3 c.) condensed tomato soup
    1/2 c. buttered crumbs
    1/2 c. bacon, diced
    3/4 c. cheese, grated
    mushrooms if desired
Preparation
    Wash, pare and dice eggplant.
    Cook in boiling, salted water about 5 minutes.
    Drain and place in greased casserole.
