Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. jam (seedless blackberry or strawberry)
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. applesauce
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice, cloves and nutmeg
    1 c. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs, jam and applesauce.
    Add soda to buttermilk and alternately add buttermilk and flour.
    Add spices, raisins, dates and nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in 9 x 13-inch pan for 40 plus minutes.
