Ingredients

1/3 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. water
2 tsp. whole cloves
2 sticks cinnamon
1 tsp. whole allspice
1/4 tsp. salt
2 qt. cider
Preparation

Combine sugar, water and seasonings in 4-cup measure. Microwave at High for 4 to 6 minutes to form a light syrup. Combine with cider in 3-quart casserole dish.
Microwave for 7 to 9 minutes until heated.
Strain before serving.
Makes approximately 2 quarts.
