Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. applesauce
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. flour
dash of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. raisins (if desired)

Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients.
Add applesauce with baking soda. Mix in remaining ingredients.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
