Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dates, sliced
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. almond flavor
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Mix sugar, dates and flour until all dates are covered. Add eggs,
    one
    at
    at time.
    Then add the other ingredients. Bake
    in two
    square
    pans (9 x 9 x 12-inch).
    Line pans with brown
    paper (grocery bags) and grease well.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 33
    to
    35 minutes.
    When
    done, cut into squares and roll in powdered sugar. Keeps very well, do not freeze.
