Rhubarb Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2/3 c. liquid shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. diced rhubarb
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Sift ingredients together in order given.
    Pour into 2 well-greased and floured loaf pans.
    Fill 2/3 full. Spread evenly over each.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes or until tester comes out clean.
