Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1/2 c. water
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. Quaker oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    granulated sugar
Preparation
    Beat first 3 ingredients until creamy.
    Beat in water, egg and vanilla.
    Add combined dry ingredients; mix well.
    Cover, chill about 2 hours.
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Shape into 1-inch balls.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with tines of fork dipped in granulated sugar to form crisscross pattern.
    Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
    Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
    Cool completely.
    Store tightly covered. Makes about 7 dozen.
