Sausage Wrapped In Pastry - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. crushed fennel seed
3/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. butter, chilled
4 Tbsp. Crisco, chilled
5 to 6 Tbsp. ice water
4 tsp. Dijon mustard or honey mustard
1 precooked sausage (1 1/2 lb.), cut in half
1 egg yolk, mixed with 1 Tbsp. water
Preparation

Combine flour, fennel and salt in bowl.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Cut butter and shortening into pieces and add to flour.
Use pastry cutter to cut to coarse texture.
Add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and toss with fork until mixture forms a ball.
Makes 2 balls.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
