Knephla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. water
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chicken base
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    3 potatoes, diced
    celery leaves
    1 gal. plus 1 c. milk
    1/4 lb. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    5 c. flour
    bay leaves
Preparation
    To half gallon water add bay leaves, celery leaves and potatoes.
    Boil about 15 minutes.
    Add 1 gallon milk, butter, onion, chicken base and salt and pepper to taste.
    Cook until onions are tender.
