Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat butter, sugar and eggs until fluffy.
Add vanilla.
Add flour and salt until stiff dough consistency.
Wrap in wax paper. Chill 3 hours or until firm.
Cut cookies on lightly floured board; place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
Cool on wire rack and decorate.
