Favorite Homemade Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. lukewarm water
    1 yeast cake
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. oil
    1/4 c. cracked wheat
    3 c. whole wheat flour
    5 c. sifted white flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water with sugar.
    Set aside for 20 minutes.
    In a large bowl, combine yeast mixture, salt and oil. Stir in cracked wheat and flours.
    Mix well.
    On a floured board, knead dough for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Let rise in a large oiled pan or bowl for approximately 2 hours.
    Punch down, turn over and let rise again for 1 hour.
    Divide into 4 equal parts.
    Knead each part vigorously and shape into loaves.
    Place loaves into 4 greased bread loaf pans.
    Allow to rise for 30 minutes.
