Cabbage And Noodle Dish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large sweet onion
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 c. finely shredded cabbage (1/2 small head)
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. (4 oz.) wide egg noodles
    few drops red wine vinegar
Preparation
    Peel and thinly slice onion.
    You should have about 4 cups. Melt butter in a large skillet.
    When it is hot, stir in onion, cabbage, sugar, salt and pepper.
    Cook over very low heat, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes, or until onion and cabbage are softened.
    Cook noodles as package directs.
    Drain.
    Sprinkle cabbage with a few drops vinegar to taste and toss to combine.
    Add noodles to skillet and continue to cook until blended and all is heated through.
    Serve.
