Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. white sugar
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. Karo syrup
Preparation
    Mix
    above ingredients and cook moderately high.
    Stir. Peanuts will
    begin
    to
    pop
    and
    turn light brown around the edges when
    done.
    Remove from heat and add 1/2 teaspoon soda. Pour
    immediately onto buttered cookie sheet.
    Take up as soon as brittle will break and loosen from sheet.
