Honey-Without The Bees - cooking recipe

Ingredients

10 c. sugar
45 white clover flowers
45 purple clover flowers
25 rose petals
2 c. water
1 tsp. alum

Preparation

Put clovers and rose petals in colander; wash and drain.
In large heavy kettle, place all ingredients; bring to a boil.
Turn down heat to low and cook another 5 minutes, stirring constantly; strain.
Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
Makes 8 jars.
