Collards A La Italiana - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 c. chopped, peeled tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. Romano cheese
    1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
    2 lb. collard greens, trimmed and prepared for cooking
Preparation
    Heat oil and add onion.
    Cook until soft.
    Add tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes longer.
    Season with salt and pepper and marjoram.
    Add collards.
    Simmer, covered, over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Stir frequently and add juice of tomatoes or water to keep moist.
    Sprinkle with cheese and serve hot.
    Serves 4.
