Christmas Card Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg.
    Beat until light and fluffy.
    Stir flour with spices and soda; add to creamed mixture. Mix well.
    Cover and chill until firm (2 hours).
    Remove from refrigerator.
    On floured surface, roll dough 1/8-inch thick.
    Cut into shapes with cutters.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool 1 to 2 minutes.
    Remove to rack.
    Makes 6 dozen.
