Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 medium green pepper, thinly sliced
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1/2 c. dry red wine or water
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 bay leaf
    3 Tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
    1 tsp. paprika
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1 broiler (or fryer) chicken (2 1/2-3 lb.), cut up
Preparation
    In a 3 quart microproof casserole, combine onion, green pepper and butter.
    Cover with casserole lid and cook on HI for 4-5 minutes, or until onion is transparent.
    Add tomotoes, wine and flour; stir until smooth.
    Stir in remaining ingredients except chicken.
    Cover and cook on HI for 7 minutes.
    Add chicken pieces, immersing in sauce.
    Cover and cook on HI for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is tender.
    Stir once during cooking.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
    Serves 4-6.
    Total cooking time:
    31-37 minutes.
