Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed bananas (2 ripe)
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. shortening
Preparation

Day Before Serving:
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease and flour 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mix first 5 ingredients with fork.
With pastry blender, cut shortening into mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
With fork, stir in bananas and eggs just until blended.
Spread evenly in pan. Bake 55 minutes to 1 hour until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan on rack 10 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool completely on rack. Makes 1 loaf.
