Marinated Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium onions, slice and pull rings apart
    2 lb. cabbage, grated
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. sugar
    3/4 c. oil
Preparation
    Place cabbage and onions in large bowl.
    Pour sugar over this. Mix in saucepan the next 6 ingredients.
    Bring this to a boil and pour over cabbage.
    Cover and marinate overnight.
    Drain marinade from cabbage before serving.
    Serve cold.
    Serves 12.
