Fruit Cake Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pitted dates
    1/2 lb. candied cherries (red and green)
    2 sliced candied pineapple (red and yellow)
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. white sugar
    1 lb. pecans (4 c.)
    4 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cut fruit; mix well with 1/2 flour, salt and baking powder. Add sugar and pecans; mix well.
    Add eggs to which vanilla has been added.
    Bake on foil at 300\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Let cool on foil before removing.
