Sliced Strawberry Jam(1930) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. (2 lb.) sliced strawberries
    7 c. sugar
    1/4 c. bottled pectin
Preparation
    Cut berries into slices.
    Put into large kettle; stir and bring to a full rolling boil over high heat.
    Stir constantly before and while boiling.
    Boil hard 3 minutes.
    Remove form heat and stir in pectin.
    Stir and skim by turns for just 5 minutes to cool slightly to prevent floating fruit.
    Pour quickly into hot sterilized jars.
    Seal.
    Makes 9 to 10 (8 ounce) jars.
