Edna'S Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. River Rice or Carolina
    8 c. milk
    1 tsp. salt
    1 small container heavy cream
    1 c. sugar
    1 stick butter
    cinnamon to taste
Preparation
    Combine first
    4
    ingredients,
    stirring
    occasionally. Cook in heavy saucepan on top of stove with low heat, covered, for about 1 hour.
    Add sugar and stir well;
    then continue to simmer for about 1 more hour or until thick.
    Remember to stir occasionally.
    As mixture is removed from heat, add butter and allow to cool.
    Mix well and add cinnamon to taste.
