Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 Tbsp. buttermilk
2 c. mashed bananas
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. soda
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Sift dry ingredients together. Add to this alternating with beaten egg yolks, buttermilk, mashed bananas and pecans.
Then fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake at 325\u00b0 until done, approximately 1 hour.
