Double-Chocolate Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 large egg
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Melt 1 cup chocolate morsels in a heavy saucepan over low heat, reserving remaining morsels.
    Set melted morsels aside. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy; gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating well.
    Add egg, milk and vanilla, mixing well.
    Add melted morsels, mixing until blended. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; gradually add to butter mixture, mixing well.
    Stir in remaining chocolate morsels.
    Roll dough into balls, one tablespoon at a time.
    Roll balls in 1/2 cup sugar.
    Place on lightly greased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    (Cookies will be soft and firm up as they cool.) Remove to racks to cool.
    Yields 4 1/2 dozen.
