Grammy Keef'S Homemade Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening (Crisco)
4 sq. semi-sweet baking chocolate
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. pastry flour (Softasilk)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Add shortening to chocolate.
Melt in a double boiler.
Beat eggs.
Add sugar gradually.
Add chocolate mixture and beat well. Sift flour and salt together; add to mixture.
Add vanilla.
Bake in a greased 8 x 12-inch pan for 35 minutes at 350\u00b0.
