Scalloped Onions - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices
    1/2 c. grated sharp cheese
    1 1/2 c. cooked ham, cubed
    3 slices buttered toast, cubed
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Place the first 4 ingredients in a 2-quart casserole in even layer.
    Combine soup, milk, salt and pepper; pour over all.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes, then remove cover and bake 15 minutes more.
    Serves 6.
