Chinese Almond Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. almond extract
    1 1/3 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    red food coloring
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar, egg and almond extract.
    Blend ingredients well and add the dry ingredients a little at a time. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
