Snowball Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) box strawberry jello
    1 pt. strawberries, sliced
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/8 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. pecans, chopped
    1 large angel food cake
    1 (12 oz.) box Cool Whip
    2/3 c. coconut
Preparation
    Mix jello by directions on box.
    Place in refrigerator and let thicken, but not gel.
    Mix strawberries, sugar, salt and pecans together by hand.
    Place in refrigerator and let chill.
    Tear cake into small pieces.
    When gelatin is thick, mix in half of the Cool Whip.
    Add strawberry mixture and mix well.
    Place a layer of cake in large serving bowl.
    Spoon a layer of gelatin mixture, alternate, ending with jello on top.
    Spread the remaining Cool Whip on top and sprinkle with coconut.
    Refrigerate.
