Cream Cheese Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. margarine
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1 c. flour, sifted
    1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped
    1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine the margarine, brown sugar, flour and nuts with a pastry blender.
    Remove one cupful to use for topping.
    Press remainder into buttered 8 x 8 pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
    To make filling, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla until smooth.
    Turn onto baked crust.
    Top with crumb topping.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
    Cool thoroughly.
