Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 c. garlic
    1 medium onion, sliced
    2 bay leaves
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    dash of allspice or clove
    6 carrots
    4 potatoes
    1 lb. small onions
Preparation
    Brown round steak (cut in 1-inch cubes) in 2 tablespoons oil. Add next 9 ingredients.
    Add 2 cups hot water and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
    Add vegetables.
    Cover and cook 30 to 45 minutes.
