Chocolate Pie Filling - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 eggs, separated
1 1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cocoa
2 Tbsp. cornstarch or plain flour
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix sugar, salt, cocoa and cornstarch or flour until well blended, set aside.
Heat milk just till hot, add sugar mixture and bring to a boil in a heavy saucepan, stirring constantly. Beat egg yolks and add about 1/2 of hot mix while stirring.
Add back to hot custard in sauce pan while stirring.
Heat until boils again.
Stir in butter and vanilla and cool.
Pour into baked pie shell.
