Jeff Davis Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. pure cane granulated sugar
1 c. butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. milk
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter or margarine.
Blend flour, salt and vanilla into mixture and beat well.
Add eggs, then stir milk into mixture.
Line two 9-inch pans with pie crust.
Pour in the filling and bake in 450\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350\u00b0 for another 30 minutes or until filling is firm.
(I use 1 cup whole pecans or chopped pecans in bottom of crust.)
