Curried Fruit - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. butter or margarine
    2 tsp. curry powder
    1 (1 lb. 1 oz.) can peach halves, drained
    10 maraschino cherries
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 (1 lb.) can pineapple chunks with 1/4 c. syrup
    1 (1 lb.) can pear halves, drained
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Melt butter in skillet.
    Add sugar and curry powder.
    Add pineapple and syrup to skillet.
    Mix and simmer until sugar is melted.
    Put fruits in a buttered shallow pan or baking dish (1 1/2-quart).
    Pour sauce over fruit.
    Bake 1 hour. Makes 8 servings.
