Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    3 c. flour (plain)
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream oleo,
    Crisco and 2 cups sugar well.
    Reserve 1/2 cup sugar for
    egg
    whites.
    Add 1 egg yolk at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift and measure flour;
    add salt and baking powder. Add
    soda
    to
    buttermilk and dissolve.
    Begin adding flour mixture and add alternately with buttermilk, ending with flour. Add
    flavoring.
    Beat
    egg\twhites\tand
    1/2 cup sugar until stiff peaks form.
    Fold into cake mixture.
    Bake in tube pan at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
