Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pie crust (bottom only)
    10 oz. Seven-Up
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 qt. fresh strawberries
    red food coloring
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Cool baked crust.
    Combine Seven-Up, sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan.
    Cook and stir until thick and clear.
    Remove from heat and allow to cool.
    Add 6 to 8 drops of red food coloring and almond extract.
    Wash berries and pat dry.
    Put berries in pie crust.
    Pour glaze over berries.
    Chill.
    Serve with whipped cream if desired.
    Serves 4 to 6.
