Mock Cream Of Mushroom Soup(Lo-Fat) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
    1 Tbsp. oil
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 bay leaf
    1/3 c. skim milk
    1 Tbsp. oleo or Butter Buds
    freshly ground pepper
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Drain mushrooms into measure and add water to make 1/2 cup juice.
    In a small saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
    Add flour and bay leaf, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
    Gradually add mushroom liquid, milk, oleo and pepper, stirring constantly, until it thickens (2 to 3 minutes).
    Remove from heat and discard bay leaf.
    Pour into a blender and blend until smooth.
    Add the mushrooms and garlic powder, blending until pureed.
    Can be used in recipes calling for mushroom soup.
    Makes 1 1/2 cups.
