Ingredients

1 1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream together butter and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Combine flour, cocoa and baking soda; gradually blend into creamed mixture.
Stir in nuts.
Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 9 minutes.
Cookies will be soft. Cool on sheets until set, about 1 minute.
Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
