Strawberry Glaze Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (9-inch) baked pie shell
    3 baskets hulled strawberries, halved or quartered if desired
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. corn syrup
    3 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
    red food color (optional)
Preparation
    Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan.
    Add syrup and water. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and is thick and clear.
    Remove from heat and stir in Jell-O; stir until completely dissolved.
    If a darker color is desired add red food coloring.
    Cool sauce and add berries.
    Pour in pie shell and refrigerate 2 hours or more.
    Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
    Serves 6 or 8.
    I save a few big berries to put on top of whipped cream.
