Gingersnap Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/4 c. molasses
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    additional sugar
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, cream the shortening and sugar.
    Beat in egg and molasses.
    Combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and salt.
    Gradually add to creamed mixture.
    Roll teaspoonful of dough into balls.
    Place with sugar side up on a greased baking sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly brown and crinkly.
    Makes 3 dozen.
