Peanut Pattie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. white corn syrup
    1 c. milk or cream
    a few drops red food coloring
    3 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup, milk and peanuts and cook in saucepan until a few drops of mixture forms in a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
    Take off heat, add butter, vanilla and coloring.
    Beat until creamy.
    Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper or foil.
    Let cool. Yield:
    25 to 30 patties.
