Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. scalded milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. shredded coconut
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Add sugar, cornstarch and salt to egg yolks.
    Pour scalded milk into this.
    Return to double boiler.
    Stir and cook until thickened.
    Add the butter, coconut and vanilla.
    Pour into a pie pan lined with pastry.
    Bake.
    Top with meringue.
